C3 Coffee Bar, founded by CJ and Caleb in 2023, quickly became a go-to spot in Skokie, Illinois, with steady foot traffic throughout the day. Despite the demand, most orders were still happening in person. While they had a Square website in place, it wasn’t something customers naturally used to order quickly, even during peak hours.
To build on what was already working, C3 partnered with StarterByte to launch their own branded mobile app, giving customers a faster and more convenient way to order. The goal was simple: give customers a faster, more convenient way to order, while creating a direct channel that encouraged repeat visits. In under 10 months, C3 increased overall revenue and online orders, building a strong online channel and achieving a 5.5x increase in online orders. Customers could now order ahead, skip the line, and easily come back to reorder their favorites, helping the shop increase order volume while improving the overall experience during busy hours.
